Episode 180: Transcript

Welcome to the Legalpreneur Podcast. I’m your host, Andrea Sager, founder and CEO of Legalpreneur, Inc. As a serial entrepreneur and someone that works exclusively with small business owners legally protecting their business, I’m dedicated to covering common legal issues faced by business owners, providing you with the business knowledge you need to catapult your businesses growth and showing you just how some of the world’s most elite entrepreneurs have handled these legal and business issues themselves in true attorney fashion. The information in this episode is not legal advice. This is for informational purposes only, and you should always consult with your attorney before implementing any of the information in the show. Hey there. Welcome back to another episode. Of the Legalpreneur podcast. Today’s episode, I want to chat about owning your power. I have had this very present for me over the past week, and that’s why I just kind of want to riff on this. Like, we all know I’ve been going through the shit, like going through it all. And very much lately I have allowed myself. To just sit tight and allow things to happen. And to just allow these things that I didn’t want happen to happen. And honestly, what it comes down to is realizing your worth, knowing your worth. And knowing that you are worth of everything you desire. And that’s what I’m stepping into. Is realizing – maybe what’s happening to me doesn’t feel good. What? What do I want? What do I desire to happen? And I am being very intentional. In realizing and owning up to that. And realizing, okay, if this is what I desire, so let’s say this is what I desire, but I’m allowing this, then that’s not owning my power because we are powerful human beings and. We only own that power when we step into everything we desire. So I had a call back in December. If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen this when I had a money mindset call with Emily Williams. She’s amazing, absolutely fabulous with iHeart My Life. At a call with her, and she helped me realize. Andrea, you are not. Owning your desires like you desire these things, but you’re not pursuing them. You’re not allowing them to happen. You’re allowing what you do not desire to happen, happen. And that call was a huge wake up for me, and I’ve just been digging into that more because I realized I was just allowing these things to happen that I didn’t want to happen. So I realized, okay, so basically I just what happened was I made like a very big, like, life decision in a relationship, not a romantic relationship, but a friendship. And basically I was like, I want this, and I owned up to that. But normally in the past, Andrea is just like, whatever happens, happens. But I owned up to it. I said, No, I want this. And if you don’t want that, that’s fine. Like I, there are things that I want. I’m not going to allow myself to accept less than what I know I desire. And it’s been a long time coming for Andrea because I before I started really doing the deep inner work. I didn’t know how to communicate. I didn’t know how to even identify emotions like we’ve all heard this year on the podcast. I didn’t know how to even speak up for what I wanted, which sounds so crazy. Like looking at the person I am today, it’s like, Wow, I cannot believe that happened. But it did. And that’s okay. Like shit happens. Well. As of lately, I found myself, like falling into the same pattern and not. Yes, and I’m not I’m not even going to try to protect that. I have been falling into the same pattern. And finally I was like, okay, this doesn’t feel good to me. And it feels amazing. Being able to recognize this doesn’t feel good to me. This is what I desire. And if I’m not going to get what I desire out of this situation, I have to step back from this because. We have one fucking life. And if we want to be these powerful human beings that we are capable of being, we have to fucking own our desires and step into our power and like. Not except less. So this is my reminder to you. If you’re accepting less like. Take a moment. Acknowledge what you truly desire and go fucking get that and not maybe you’re not able to get your hands on it at this moment, but stop accepting what you do not desire. Because once you stop accepting less, you get way more. So. Stop accepting less. Own your power. Own your desires. Ultimately you have to recognize your worth. So much more if you’re not getting what you desire, if you’re allowing less to happen to you. Then it’s time to realize that you are worth so much more. I told you that I was just going to riff today because there’s just a lot going on in my life, as you can tell. But I’m good. I am feeling it today because I finally fucking stepped into my power and I’m owning my desires. So make sure you’re on Instagram this weekend because it could be a fun weekend.
