“In Perpetuity”- NEVER Allow It!
All right, we’re talking contracts specifically for content creators. And very specifically, let’s chat about “In Perpetuity”.
If you have no idea what I’m talking about, this is when a brand has reached out to you for you to create content. This can be UGC content, normal influencer content, any type of content that they want to use. There’s a difference between you creating the content, posting it on your own socials versus you creating the content and allowing the brand to use it on their socials or on their website.
Most brands are going to ask to use it in perpetuity. So the contract will have something like usage in perpetuity or forever, whatever they want to use. Essentially, they want to use it forever.
